Haiiro breathed out as he walked through the observatory slowly and with a rather smooth step. He'd been working much of the day cleaning all the instruments and seeing to tourists that liked to come there and see the large machines at work, and in truth, he was tired beyond reason. However, he managed to keep his face cool and calm at least in that moment. Things hadn't gone that badly thankfully, yet they could still have a rather annoying possibility.
After making his circular round, he headed towards the front entrance area and found himself leaning against a wall as he watched one of the receptionist ladies looking over the papers and things that she normally tended to. When she finally noticed him there, she waved lightly, and he found himself simply nodding slowly before closing his eyes and breathing outwards.
Alright....an hour or two left.... came to Haii's mind as he thought about what he had to do when he got home. He hadn't gotten much sleep that week and was threatening to snap if he didn't get enough sleep. Therefore, he resolved to get home as soon as possible and crash for a good ten hours or so which was an extreme amount in comparison with what he normally got. Shaking his head and looking towards the main door, he found his eyes shift down towards the watch on his wrist. Mmmmm just a little more. He could get through this fine. After a moment, he looked towards the receptionist woman again before starting back towards the actual main area with a cool easy step.

"Idiot father."Kari muttered under her breath. He was the one who brought her here in the first place. It was dumb. He had ditched her, his only daughter and heir to the restaurant to go hang out with some people she had never seen in her life. It really annoyed Hikari when her father, or her parents in general, did stupid things. Today was not a good thing for Kari anyway. She had burnt the first cake of the morning and she forced her father to eat it, which lead to him throwing up all over her favorite t-shirt. So, she changed into some next crappy t-shirt.
When she comes back into the kitchen, he tackles her and forces a white dress onto her. Then he forces her out into the freezing cold snow in the dress and, well, she practically freezes to death. Now, this. He was gone and Hikari was stuck looking for him, in a dress, in the middle of winter. It was the worst day ever. So, Hikari thought it be smart to head over to the main area. To see if she could find her father.
Sadly, that didn't happen. Hikari took a seat somewhere. She was completely lost in the area. She had never been here before, so she didn't know her way around. It also didn't help her sense of direction wasn't the best around. Then it happen and a sneeze. "Damn, I'm probably getting sick. Idiot father, why'd you bring me here in the first place." Getting up from the seat, she started sneezing more often. Every few seconds or so. So, her hair was all messed up. "Damn father." She mumbled.

It was possibly the sneeze above everything else that had caught Haiiro's attention. Hearing it and turning his head out of habit, he looked towards the girl not too far off. She was wearing a dress.... in winter......m....not the smartest of attire.....Resisting another yawn, he looked off for a moment before walking forwards only to hear the words 'damn father' and mentally twitch.
It had been.... a short....er.... almost a while since he, Ryo, and Saiyo had left their parents. Ryo, being a bit more open in his hate of their father, had said those words several times. Haiiro, though he'd never admit it, in truth, wished that the family could get back together...ehm...........well.....maybe.....nah.
"Are you lost?" he finally asked remembering that he did have a job to look after people when they came to the Observatory. Trying to shove the sleepy expression off his face, he settled for something a tad calmer and sharper in nature. He attempted and failed at a full smile and settled for something between a half smile and a relaxed stare. If she told him to leave, he would without a word, but then again, the offer may be what she was looking for or something.
Though he held no exactly titled job in the Observatory, Haiiro did just about everything there whether it was cleaning the machines or doing tours. It was all in the nature of the times, and he could even pull of being a receptionist every once in a while when the call came for it. He got payed rather well and accepted money without question. The family was middle class, and he wanted to keep it that way for Saiyo's sake.

Hikari was mumbling under her breath between sneezes now. When she was asked a question. Hikari looked over and saw a boy. He was about seventeen, maybe eighteen years old. "Yeah, I'm lost. My damn father decided it would be smart to bring me here, in a dress no less, in the middle of winter. Then he ditches me to go off and probably drink with his friends." She ranted. Then she stopped and rose an eyebrow at the boy. "Why? Are you gonna rape me or something?"
Usually Kari wouldn't care if someone was to rape her. She would smack him upside the head and then probably find something sharp and stab him with it. The boy probably wasn't going to rape her. He looked to kind? No, but he didn't look like a rapist. They were usually scary and mean looking, with bad voices. He on the other hand was completely different. So, it wasn't likely that he would rape her, plus this was a very public place anyway. Kari wondered if the boy was actually going to take her sentence seriously.
She gave him a smile, "Nah, I'm just playin' with ya. I know your not going to rape me. You look to nice to be a rapist." Kari thought about it for a bit then said her next sentece. "What are you doing here anyway? Do you work here? Or just visiting?" Kari became very curious about the boy and started wondering about him. He was kinda cute, in a way.

"Yeah, I'm lost. My damn father decided it would be smart to bring me here, in a dress no less, in the middle of winter. Then he ditches me to go off and probably drink with his friends. Why? Are you gonna rape me or something?" Haii blinked for a moment and found himself sweat dropping then and there but managing to keep a flat face. Her dad just... left? ..............
Shoving that thought away, he went onto the next that had come to mind in that sentence. So she was one of the general assuming types to think that he was going to rape her or something...what the heck.... probably fell along with some high class snob who didn't quite know when to close her damn mouth.
However, realizing that he was once again making assumptions a tad too quickly for his own damn good, Haii said nothing even remotely close to his thoughts and resolved to keep quiet and see if the girl would continue on or something of that nature.
"Nah, I'm just playin' with ya. I know your not going to rape me. You look to nice to be a rapist. What are you doing here anyway? Do you work here? Or just visiting?" Ah.... well.. it was at least somewhat nice to know that he didn't look like a rapist or anything. Haii mentally found himself sweat dropping again but finally forced a calm appearance onto his face once more.
"I work here," he finally answered back after a moment raising on eyebrow in question at her. Deciding to leave the other comments behind completely, he simply went on. Putting his hands in his pockets, he leaned back a bit arching his shoulders a small bit. "So then.... did you want a tour of the observatory or simply to find the entrance - exit?" he asked rather calmly.
In truth, he'd dealt with a lot of people that had come in for no reason and only asked him where the exit was, and after several repetitions of this, he found himself no longer caring so much about it. However, he always stated the first offer more or less to keep his job there....

When Hikari finished talking, she noticed something different about herself. She was't usually like this. She probably came off as some obnoxious high class girl, who didn't know when to stop talking. Most people thought of her like that, but in truth. She wasn't like that. She practically hated her life. The boy's voice snapped Hikari out of her trance. "Well, since I'm here. I guess I'll take a tour. She answered him. Hikari weighed out if she should apologize for her behavior earlier or just leave it at that. She decided to apologize to get it off her conscious.
"Umm, I apologize if I, ahh, freaked you out or made you feel uncomfortable earlier. I tend to run my mouth a lot and then I come off as someone I'm not, and I, umm," Hikari could feel the slight blush creep onto her cheeks and bowed, her hair falling around her head like a blonde curtain. "I'm sorry." When she finally finished, she popped back up with a straight back. Hikari could feel the blush still on her cheeks. By why was it there? Was she embarrassed? Probably, it wasn't un-common for her to be embarrassed. She ran her mouth a lot and didn't think about what she said. "Oh and, I'm Hikari Ito." She said with a small smile. The blush still there.

"Well, since I'm here. I guess I'll take a tour." Haiiro nodded a bit before taking a half step back as though about to start the tour. "Umm, I apologize if I, ahh, freaked you out or made you feel uncomfortable earlier. I tend to run my mouth a lot and then I come off as someone I'm not, and I, umm," Hm? He stopped in mid step rather surprised for a moment that she was actually apologizing. Then again, what he had to parallel girls with was his slightly odd younger sister who....well let's not get into that at the moment, neh? "I'm sorry." After a moment, he found a cool half smile on his face. "Oh and, I'm Hikari Ito." was the last thing that she had stated. Haii nodded at this for a moment and then decided to give his name as well seeing as it had become somewhat of an introduction habit as it were.
"My name is Haiiro Navi," he answered back nodding at his own name. "Most call me Haii.... not to be mistaken for hai meaning 'yes'." He finished aloud mentally sweat dropping at the idea of someone literally thinking his name was 'yes'. In truth, several had indeed been confused, but that had been in a younger time. Therefore, he doubted it was that common now a days to misinterpret. However, then again, her blond hair suggested that she might be a foreigner so... well one never really knew..... "Nice to meet you," he finally found himself saying as his entire train of thought finally made a circular motion back to what he had been previously saying.
With that, he took a rather smooth back step and half turned slowly towards the main telescope room. Aside from one other place, it was one of his favorite areas simply because of what it was, heh. Well that didn't make full sense now did it? Oh well. "We'll start the tour in the actual telescope room...." he stated aloud looking back towards her wondering if she was actually going to follow or not.

"It's nice to meet you too Haiiro-san." Hikari said. Hikari watched as Haiiro took a step backward and turned all in one motion. He looked back at her saying they were going to start in the actual telescope room. Hikari nodded and followed taking steps forward until she was in front of him. Then she sneezed again away from Haiiro. "Damn father, why the hell did he make me where this in the first place," She muttered. "It's the middle of the damn winter."
Hikari was now playing with the end of her -stupid- dress. It was freezing cold, even if she was inside. She was always the one who got cold easily. "So, Haiiro," She started, looking at the boy. "Do you like your job?". She had just run out of things to talk about. Hikari's eyes met the wall and her fingers were now tapping her leg. She was interested in the boy, but couldn't think of anything to talk about. So, she said the first thing that come to her mind, but that isn't allowed to be typed on this site, so let's just say she was now staring into space. "So, which way is the main telescope room?" She asked still staring.

When Hikari had asked the question about him liking his job, Haiiro stopped for a moment thinking about this even as he took slow steps to once again get at least parallel with her. "It's peaceful," he answered back not truly answering the question but feeling that it was certainly enough of a comment to in fact make an accurate assumption. "And at night, sometimes, I get to look through the telescopes and see the stars and things far away..." he found himself nodding a bit as he said this as though taking it into his own mind.
When the question came about which way the telescope room was, he half smirked and then pointed down the hallway. "Just past those doors is the main telescope room....." With that, he found himself speed up just a little bit out of what..... his own excitement? Nah, he'd seen it many times before. It was probably the simple anticipation of showing someone said telescopes. Heh, odd, but oh well. His walking speed increased again after this thought had finished, and he almost passed Hikari up completely. When they finally reached the telescope room door, Haiiro pulled it open out of habit and held it there looking into the telescope but waiting for Hikari to answer first. The entire room was rather large with both simplistic look but also intricate machinery. A large telescope could be seen in the center of the room where one could easily look straight up into it and see through it. The sounds of machines humming could be heard ever so slightly, and the lights in the room bounced off gears and things showing them to be warming up probably for the night's stargazing.

Hikari watched Haiiro level with her and he told her about how peaceful around here it was and how he could see stars and other things in the dark night sky. When he heard Hikari ask where the main telescope room was she swore she saw a smirk appear on his face. Hikari saw him point down the hall and say it was behind the doors.
Hikari watched as Haiiro practically run down the hall to the main telescope room. He pulled open the doors, but he looked like he was waiting for Hikari until he actually continued. Hikari could hear the faint murmuring of the machines from her spot, he always had great hearing. She slowly walked toward Haiiro and looked inside the door. The room was filled with machinery."It all looks so complecated and difficult." Hikari said. Her voice sounded impressed and amazed.
Hikari made her way into room. Her eyes sparkling like a child in a candy store. Sure, she wasn't completely smart, but she loved machinery and tinkering with things. She turned to Haiiro with a smile. "You work here everyday? This place looks amazing." She said.

Haii found himself half smiling as Hikari seemed to take to the telescopes and things related to them. After a moment, he nodded and then walked towards the central telescope and found himself leaning a bit to actually look down into it. Of course the light rays reflected and went upwards so that one could literally look down to see up, yet at that moment, it was simply dark due to the fact that none of the machines that helped focus the light were on. Unlike the ones that remained on all the time, those were turned off until they were needed.
"You look down in here and then get a glimpse of the sky. However, at the moment, everything that's needed to see into it and stare through it is shut off," he explained aloud. Somewhere in the back of his mind, Haii was finding himself rather pleased with this. He liked explaining and talking about the telescopes and the observatory in general, and his fatigue from before had retreated to the recesses of his mind at that moment in time. Looking back towards Hikari, Haii moved sideways and mad a general gesture for her to look closer at the telescope.
"And yes I come in here most nights and help the scientists that work here," he stated after a moment remembering that he really hadn't answered her question. "It's rather... fun...." he found himself smiling a bit again but retreated behind a rather relaxed more sober face that one wears when trying to keep purely professional. However, he couldn't help but like the sky...

Hikari looked around her eyes shining greatly. She heard Haiiro talking and quickly turned to him. She saw him gesture toward the telescope. She guessed he was letting her look. She made her way toward the telescope and leaned into it. "Hmm, it looks kinda dark in a way." Hikari said. She stood straight up again and turned toward Haiiro. "Is it supposed to be dark?" Hikari asked. She listened to Haiiro talk and then smiled brightly. "It must be amazing to work with scientists. I wish my work was this amazing, " Hikari took a small breath. " I just work at my parents' shops."
When Hikari was looking at Haiiro. She noticed a slight change in his facial expression. It went from a small smile and then changed to a sorta sober relaxed face. "Why do you change your facial expressions so much?" Hikari asked. She didn't think before she said it, but she was still curious.

"Why do you change your facial expressions so much?" Haiiro blinked and mentally sweat dropped at this comment unsure of how to answer it at first. In truth, it was more out of habit rather than anything else. Over time, he always seemed to find negatives that dropped his face while other times he found that it didn't work professionally to smile and act so at peace with things. In the end, he found himself a tad contorted in these ways. After a moment, he forced half a smile and rubbed the back of his head.
"Habit really...." he finally stated aloud looking at her and making eye contact then and there. "Not completely sure why I do it... sorry," he finished unsure of why he was sorry for this if at all. In another moment, he looked back towards the telescope and then back at Hikari. "You know..." he started for a moment placing his hand on the telescope. "Since no one else is around, and it's pretty late in the day... I could turn on a few of the machines so that you could see the actual starry sky...." he stated aloud looking at the machine and then back at Hikari.
In truth, he wasn't even completely sure why he was suddenly giving this offer. He hadn't ever done this for common tourists, but then again, maybe it was because she was the only one there at the moment. After a few seconds, he stepped off towards a different machine and then looked back at Hikari before turning his head to one side. "Do you want to see the stars?" he asked calmly but carrying a bit lighter air than he had had before.

Hikari leaned back into telescope and listened to Haiiro talk. She nodded along with his voice. Then she popped up when she heard that he could turn on a few machines. "Can you really turn a few machines on." She asked. "That would be amazing.". Hikari watched hime step off the main telescope and then walk toward another machine. He asked her she wanted to see the stars. "Of course I would like to see the stars Haiiro-san."She said with excitement. Hikari was truly amazed with all the technology around her. She smiled at Haiiro, he was a nice guy. He was actually a nice guy, not like some of the other guys she had met.

Seeing that she had confirmed she wanted to see the stars, Haii nodded and then started to turn on different machines and press a few buttons changing magnification and other things of that general nature that needed to be switched around before one could actually see anything through the telescope. He doubted that he'd get into any trouble from this. He'd been working at the observatory since... well... for a rather good few years or so, and most knew him there.
After a bit, a few more machines were humming and adding to a steady yet rather quite white noise, and the telescope itself seemed to rise a bit and then sink into the correct position for one to see a few constellations rather than the simple black surface like thing that one saw when he looked into it the first time around.
After a bit of this, Haii turned back and then made a gesture again towards the telescope. "Now look through," he stated aloud with a cool smile on his face again. If one did in fact look through, the stars around Orion's Belt could be seen rather clearly as well as those around it. Haiiro had set up exact positions for the telescope to see different stars before mostly due to work, and this had somewhat become an actual nature to him as it were.
