Ryo mentally smacked himself for being in the shopping district in the first place. He didn't have any money with him aside some change that he'd have to use to get back home anyways. It was Saturday which meant one of two things: either he had to be out looking for a job or studying in which the latter of the two seemed to be more work than the prior. This was, in truth, what had drove Ryo to come to the area that day, yet he was still neither pleased or appeased with the idea of looking for a job.
It was more than obvious to him that a job would mean more regulated things, and this only led to more orders which he had tried to evade for the last decade at least... Hm... probably a little less than a decade. He couldn't quite remember when he had first gone against his father's sharp tongue, yet at that point, the dark haired man no longer cared.
However, one thing drove him to keep looking at this point: money. Money meant a lot in the world today, and Ryo himself wasn't about to deny this obvious fact of life. Instead, he simply took it to himself and worked it in. The strange memory of what had happened earlier in the week to the bulk of the money flashed through Ryo's mind for a moment, and the dark haired man sighed outwards at this. Of course his sweet tooth had taken a roller coaster ride and bought everything and anything at this one small cafe he had been at.....And of course when he got home that night, Saiyo gave him hell for it. He already knew it was coming anyways and had all but accepted it with open arms. At least Haiiro had not made any strict comment on it or anything of the like. However, it did restrict their money, and now Ryo was bound and determined to make it up again.
Walking through the shops and then looking down at the wanted adds that he had picked up, the dark haired man walked towards a store not too far off and stepped inside. The cold gust of air was both refreshing and annoying given the season was not yet spring and not truly winter at the same time. Shoving this thought away for the moment, he walked towards the front desk where a very plump woman was helping a customer. He waited patiently until she was done and then addressed the woman.
"Hello...." Ryo found himself saying rather dryly towards the woman who instantly seemed to be sizing him up for whatever reason.
"Good morning, sir, can I help you?" was the woman's response. Something in what the woman said made Ryo mentally cringe for whatever reason. However, it soon became clear what exactly it was in her voice that had caused it. She sounded remarkably like a woman that had once been.. or for hell if he knew... was still in the gang that Ryo himself had left only a short bit ago. A feeling of paranoid washed over the dark haired man for a split second before he slowly shook his head. However, when the thought of the action actually hit his brain, he stopped again and put his hands up.
"I mean... I'm here to look into getting a job...." he admitted quietly after a moment. The woman stared at him rather carefully before finally smiling slightly. Ryo found himself trying to force a smile in return and failing terribly. After a moment, he simply allowed his face to fall somber.
"Ah, well if you would come fill out these papers and have a chat with me, I'll see what I can do," the woman answered back rather sharply before handing Ryo the papers. The dark haired man took up said papers and began to fill them out carefully and quietly. After a moment more, he handed them all back and moved to talk in the back room with the woman.
Ten minutes later, Ryo walked out of the store and looked back at the sign on the candy store mentally smacking himself for a few seconds before looking forwards again. Well... that hadn't really gone as well as he had hoped... Hm.. on to the next one. With that, he continued down the streets towards his next destination on the list still looking for a job that would hold to his hours and things.

Kyōmi wasn't one for shopping, but when it came to music or manga, she was willing to leave her sanctuary to and step out into the real world to search for what she wanted... or needed. She needed music this time, preferably hip-hop. Though she shared a house with her older brother and did not have a job, she had enough money to purchase what she desired at the moment.
She paced down the street, looking for any stores that sold CDs. She had been here once or twice, but Kyo couldn't remember where exactly some stores were located. She stopped and walked over to the side and took her backpack off of her back. She opened up the bag and stuck her hand inside, pulling out a folded paper. Kyōmi unfolded that paper; it revealed a bird's-eye-view of the shopping district. The stores were identified by colors and icons.
She ran her finger across the paper, seeking out the store she had her mind on.
Kyo looked up every once in a while, shifting her body to the side if she was in the way of any pedestrians walking to their own destinations. A random stranger approached her, asking her if she needed any help finding her way around Osu. Kyōmi told the stranger that she was looking a music store and it took the stranger a while to figure it out where it was. But she was able to give the young, dark-haired girl directions to her desired location. She thanked the stranger for showing her the way.
Kyōmi folded up her map and stuck it back into her bag, closing it and throwing it over her shoulder; she continued her stroll down the sidewalk, keeping an eye out for any stores she was told to remember in order to find her way to the store she wanted to go to.

The dark haired man continued on to a few more places and found that he didn't fit well into any of them. Someone of the people were nice, yet they seemed to lack actual positions or feared his general demeanor. Sighing outwards and crossing out a few on his mental list, Ryo eventually walked towards a CD store that was said to have a job opening.
If anything, maybe he could even get a discount and actually start to buy a few more things with the extra money. Yes, that was good....far better than the ones he had gone to previously... The game store was also rather interesting, yet the person that had managed that was a sharp nosed man that had taken one look at Ryo and told him to leave.
Though no one showed outright signs of recognizing him, Ryo found his general paranoia starting to take fold. What if one of the gang members was in the area? Would he be willing to fight them? Would he have to fight them at all? Mentally putting that aside for a moment, Ryo shook his head and wondered why he was working himself up for nothing.
As he finally found his way into the music shop, he instantly found the area mellow and calm. Heh, this wasn't too bad. He could live with it, maybe. Walking towards the back, he found a man blond hair down past his ears. For a moment, Ryo was wary, yet it seemed the man was alright, and after a few seconds, Ryo relaxed and began to talk about getting a job. In truth, it was easier than he had ever expected. The man named whom he would later know as Shen instantly accepted him there at the music store and even seemed to be willing to pay him a higher pay than "n00b" pay as Shen himself had called it. Ryo simply accepted and found himself looking around the store now getting a feel for it.

Kyōmi stood outside of the store. The name was familiar, being the store that she was looking for. She walked in and began looking around. She didn't have a specific artist in mind on her way to the store; Kyo waltzed over to the "Rock" section to see if any interest in any bands would spark. So far... nothing.
She hopped over to the "Pop" section. Kyōmi went through the collection, neatly organized in Alphabetical Order. She picked up one album and studied it for a little bit before she put it back in its space. She searched other albums, looking at one before putting it back and picking up another. Although Kyo was more of a Hip-Hop and Gothic girl, than a Pop girl, she enjoyed some of the girly, cutesy, and bubbly music made for the listening ears of Japan's youth. Most of the cutesy songs fabricated by the musically talented were songs of love.
It was one of those things she was embarrassed to expose to the public.
Kyo selected another CD and stared at it for a short while. She wasn't really familiar with the artist, but the album brought forth a lost memory. At her high school, a classmate suggested the very artist's CD that was being held in her hand to her. Kyōmi smiled, since her classmate was excited about this particular musician--Hikaru Utada.
'Hmm... I'll get it. Though I could've just borrowed her CD,' She thought as she walked to the next Genre section, with her choice of CD in her hand, 'Oh well...'

Ryo'd continue to wander around the music store more or less just going through it all rather carefully if not critically. His hands stayed in his pockets, and his face resembled something of a rather calm stare with neither sharp look or anywhere near a smile. He didn't mind the place... the music was alright, and everyone was...well...mellow. He could work with this for a while....maybe. If not, he'd simply just wander off again and look for something else to do.
If only the gang had been that easy to leave. However, this brought up the general thoughts of the gang in the first place, and Ryo mentally smacked himself again over thinking about it. Why couldn't he just leave it alone? Seriously. It was like the past was some stupid scar...we... technically... he'd walked away with several scars, yet that wasn't the right context for this....
Looking through a CD rack for a moment, Ryo suddenly caught sight of Shen waving him over again. "Man I know you just got here, but can you watch the place for a bit? My sister's had a sort of-" the man stopped and seemed to try and start again. However, Ryo simply nodded slowly to himself already accepting it. The other man nodded and then started out the back way. With that, Ryo turned and walked all the way around the counter and found himself leaning on it rather peacefully.
A few people were moving about the store, and Ryo found himself watching them carefully for one reason or another.

She continued to browse through the never-ending collection of various kinds of music. Using one hand, she ran her fingers through her short dark brown locks, brushing her hair with her thin fingers, holding Utada's CD in the other. She let her hand rest on the back of her neck for a little while.
Kyo found herself standing next to an elder female. And by elder, the woman appeared to be in her late 20's. She looked up and smiled at the older woman, who returned the smile and then walked around her and continued to browse. Kyo did the same. She then strolled over to the next genre, Hip Hop and Rap. She wasn't ashamed to let everyone know that she fancied this kind of music.
Some artists in this section she automatically recognized and remembered she had their CD's... almost all of them, to be exact. She searched carefully since she remembered that some of her favorite rappers came out with new albums a few days ago.

He continued to watch the area rather coolly with almost a bored face. Indeed, he wasn't trying to put on said bored face, and yet there it was. He found himself restless there, and he wanted to leave and start walking the streets again. Mentally smacking himself for going off on the tangent, Ryo found his fingers were strumming the counter rather sharply and reflecting a smooth continuous beat that neither clashed with the music that was playing in the store already nor fully melded with it.
His eye stopped at a girl.... Well... she looked like a girl... Though.... the hair made it a tad hard to tell. Blinking and wondering why in the world someone would.... well...Ryo let out a breath and found himself walking out from around the register and walking through the store again. However, his eyes turned back every few seconds to make sure that no one had slipped his gaze or was trying to walk out with anything unpaid for just because the register appeared unoccupied. Sliding around to his own music, some rather classical... yes classical...shut up.... Anyways, looking through the music for a good half minute, Ryo looked up again and then started towards the counter again. However, he didn't go around behind it but simply leaned on it and watched the people in the room again.
Finally someone came up and bought a few CDs. Ryo took the money, made change, and finished the purchase before watching the woman walk out of the store again. This.... was going to be boring... great. Just what he needed.... His fingers rapped on the counter a bit louder now.

Kyo picked up one of the newer ones and studied it for a while for switching it over to the other hand, which held the Utada CD that was somewhat recommended to her by someone at her high school. She looked at the two she just collected. She couldn't think of any other musicians whose albums were being distributed in this store, so she decided to go ahead and purchase what she had and approached the counter, with the two CD's in her hand.
She felt slightly uncomfortable purchasing something on her own; when she was younger, she was used to watching the exchanging of money and merchandise, watching her mother or father quickly flip through the stack of yen and handing it over to the clerk. It wasn't until her home sheltered her and her older brother, that she started learning about finances and buying things herself. Her brother wouldn't go out or he was unable to go out and buy the things that she wanted, so he had her start leaving the house in and go to the store herself if she wanted something. But before sending her out on her own, her brother took money from his own wallet and placed it in hers.
That wallet was with her today, stashed away in her jeans pocket and filled with half of her brother's money. Today, she would only use some of that half since the only thing Kyo wanted to buy were a couple of CD's.

Ryo resisted the urge to yawn in boredom. After a moment, he shifted his weight and continued to look around the shop. Catching sight of the girl... again, Ryo turned his head to one side and raised an eyebrow coolly. "Did you find everything you were looking for?" he asked more or less everyone in the room rather than just at the girl. Someone looked over and nodded before going back to what he had been looking at while a few others seemed to mummer a few complacent yes's here and there.
Ryo found himself mentally sighing in boredom. His mind was already thinking that this wasn't going to last for any good amount of time. He went through jobs like he went through money, and Ryo found himself already bored of this one. Lovely. However, he had to stop jumping jobs at least for a bit. He needed the money and reminded himself of that fact. He had to be the big brother, dang it. Haiiro was taking over that job wasn't he? Heh, that was bad.
Hm.... Ryo's eyes shifted around the room carefully, yet the dark haired man didn't say anything fully and simply continued to shift around. His eye found an Arashi CD, and he mentally face/palmed. Why was that even...ugh... well it was a music store, but still. After a moment, Ryo leaned on the counter again.

She gave a short nod and a "Yes" to his question, thinking it was directed towards her. She glanced down at the two albums in her hand as she laid them on the counter top, then dug through her pockets in search of her wallet. She pulled out her wallet, which was pink (which was too girly for Kyo, but she was young when she first obtained her wallet) and had little bunny faces in the corners diagonal from each other. Inside it was the money given to her by her brother; she wondered why her brother gave her so much when it was one thing she wanted, but she remembered that he told her that the extra was for when she wanted something else. 'Oh well...', she thought, 'Whatever I have left over Ill just give back to him...''
Though she constantly bickered and fought with her big brother, they shared one thing in common and it wasn't the fact they had the same parents--their pessimistic views towards... just about everything. Every once in a while, they would have an actual conversation, which was often centered around popular music or video games. Her brother was the gamer and she was the music lover of the family. They would take turns with each others interests. Kyo would play a video game belonging to her brother, mostly because he recommended it; her brother, Noboru, would listen to a few of her CD's, mostly because she would recommend it to him. That was the only time she did talk to him, then it was back to fussing with him. So much love between the two.

Upon seeing the items placed down on the counter, Ryo allowed his eyes to look up, and for a moment, he found himself forgetting what he was doing there. However, in another few seconds, he simply stood up straight again and started to ring up the items rather fluidly before looking back at the girl.
"That will be 1655 yen..." he stated aloud before looking down again and waited to be paid. Yep, this was going to be a boring job, but on well. A thought of talking more to the slightly androgynous form in front of him came to Ryo's mind, yet in the end, he didn't act on it and simply waited in silence there.
In truth, Ryo was already thinking of the time it would take to get out of there and back out to walking. Where had Shen gone again? Ehm... he couldn't remember now. Mentally smacking himself, Ryo didn't say anything and kept his face rather calm and placid.

She unzipped her wallet; Kyo was unsure if she even had 1655 yen, but it didn't hurt to check, right? She pulled out the stack of money, and began counting, mostly to herself. Realization struck when in her hand was the 1655 that she needed to purchase the two CD's, with a little bit left over to give back to her brother. He'll probably tell her to keep it, since she will have to start saving her money in the future. Especially when she comes home one day and tells him she got a job.
Speaking of which, Kyo needed one--just to help pay bills and what not. Plus, she was often yelled at because she sat around and did nothing but read manga and draw all the time. Oh well, maybe another time, like when she was off from school. Ew, school.
She handed him the yen, and then waited patiently for the transaction to be complete.
