[bgcolor=000000] Kaida asked as she walked to Ayame's office, the door next to the storage room. This was where the girls changed, and if they kept it neat and didn't take anything, Ayame would allow them to continue changing back there. None of the girls wanted to hurt sweet Ayame though. Ayame simply nodded to Kaida, who saw the slight gesture from the corner of her eye. The door shut behind her and she looked towards the spot where her clothes usually went. The red and white maid's outfit was there, of course. She began taking off her clothes, the dark tights and skirt, rimmed with gold, came off first, then her jacket and shirt. She was still in her school uniform, because she came here from school. She had no time to change, or to go to her house. Her father already knew where she headed after school on Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays. Today was a Monday, which, for some reason, was usually the busiest day that Kaida would work on. Kaida stepped in the dark red dress, making sure not to step on the skirt, which fell right below her knees, and pulled it up. After doing the ties in the back up, she slipped on the frilly white apron, tying it in the back around her middle into a big bow, and around her neck but in a smaller bow so it didn't make her long, dark hair bulge in that area. She tied on the rest of the strings, a bow around her throat, and strings around the short sleeves, giving it a poofy look. She put on wrist bands with golden buttons on them, braided her hair, and began to weave the red ribbon in the braid. After she was done, she stepped in white shoes with small heels and a large, sparkly white bow near her toes, her nails painted dark purple. Her feet clicked lightly as she walked over to the mirror, making a few small adjustments before leaving. She began walking towards her usual spot while the store was empty, in a corner far away from the three chatty girls, before being interupted by Ayame "Oh, Kaida, I had an idea." She took two cat ears and a tail that were the same colour as Kaida's hair from under the counter. "The other girls have them too, but I want to see if they look realistic" Kaida nodded as Ayame lifted the items a little quetioningly, before sitting in a seat to allow Ayame to be able to reach on top of her head more easily. Ayame put the ears on with bobby-pins "Aww, they look great Kaida" she said to her, Kaida stood up and let her put on the tail too, Ayame hiding the pin under the big bow on Kaida's lower back. "You look like a kitty!" Kaida knew Ayame liked cute things, expecially cats. Kaida was an animal fan too, but she was more into dogs then cats. As a few boys, in grade twelve at a school with blue and black uniforms, walked in, Ayame took her place at the back of the counter, awaiting for Kaida to get the order from the five boys, who were looking at the short menus that were already infront of them. In a few minutes, Kaida walked over to them, her new tail curled behind her by a wire in it. "May I take your order?" [/ul][/blockquote]

In truth, Ryo Navi was not usually one to go to cafes. They tended be too crowded for his liking, and if that wasn't the case, one solid fact remained: it ate up pocket cash. He was all but coarsely frugal at times, but when one played 'big brother' to two siblings (though technically Haiiro was only five minutes younger, but eh...) with which all three of them didn't speak to their parents any longer, frugality seemed to grow. However, on that particular day, he found himself heading there after school...because...well....well....one couldn't really... Shaking his head, Ryo canceled out his own thoughts on the matter at least for the moment.
As he stepped up towards the cafe, the dark haired man found himself stopping for a good few seconds and simply staring at the door as though debating whether or not to actually go inside or not. He could probably save up and buy something more worth while, yet then again.... he really wanted something obnoxiously sugary. There, it was out: the real truth of the matter. He wanted something all but annoying sweet at the moment, and he found that the cafe was probably the closest thing to it. Mentally sighing, he finally took hold of the door and actually stepped into the cafe.
As his eyes scaled around the room rather carefully for one reason or another, the dark haired man found that it didn't seem as crowded as he had previously thought. Alright, he could work with that. Deciding to head over to a table, he found one not too far off that was already empty. Good. Sitting down and picking up a menu that had been left on the table (whether intentionally or un-intentionally, he was not too sure of). Looking over everything, Ryo debated what to get.

She hated putting on a smiley face. She wasn't that full of smiles, or that bubbly, but she still acted like she was. Kaida turned around and leaned against the long counter which Ayame stood behind while waiting for her to finish with the order, which she had picked up from the counter where Kaida put it. A boy that Kaida just had taken an order from walked over to stand beside her. He had orange-red hair and brown eyes, that were looking rather suspiscios to Kaida. She looked over to him when he tugged lightly on her braided hair. "Please do not touch, would you like to add something to your order?" Kaida handled it professionally, while any of the other girls would have abruptly slapped him for touching her hair. The orange haired boy smirked over to his fellows before looking back at Kaida, leaning close to her ear "you" he whispered, running a hand up her leg close to her skirt. Kaida stepped away from him, he followed, it appeared Kaida would rather not touch him. Things happen though, and as he went a little higher, the girls all looked up at the slapping noise coming from their direction. The boy's face had a hand print on it, red against his skin. He was now glaring at Kaida, his gaze following her as she took her place behind the counter quickly "I'm sorry!" she said from the safety of the counter. The boy wasn't chasing her. "It's fine Kaida." Ayame said from behind her in the kitchen "we don't need their kind here, I can tell from what little they ordered they were just here to cause trouble" she said quickly, grabbing the broom near the swinging door of the kitchen, walking out with it in hand "we don't need his kind. Scram!" She threatened him with the broom, and he left laughing, soon followed by his friends. This was strange for Kaida. Usually one of the other girls would have had that happen to them. As anybody could tell, Kaida never even had that happen to her. She just was told by Ayame to go behind the counter and she would take care of the rest. Saying that she was sorry for hitting him was how Kaida had learned. "Say sorry when you upset others" she remembered her mother saying from a long time ago "even if you are right, you always say sorry, alright Kaida?" her mother's voice calmed Kaida down, and she went to clean up the area where the boys were. Ryo's eyes had only lifted half an inch above his menu as he watched the entire strange fight go down. Well, at least the girls at the cafe could hold their own here. He was oddly reminded of the days in the gang....In truth, what led his thought process to the gang wasn't really weird so much as remembering the girls in it. They were violent creatures, far from what one would expect of girls here (even if they could hold their own), and they certainly bared fangs like beasts from hell. During one such episode, Ryo had been smacked across the face rather harshly over something simple he'd said without thinking. Eh, those days were gone. Deciding not to dwell on this any longer, he looked back at his menu again.
A calmer smirk played on his visage, yet his eyes simply remained rather dark and lowered again when everything seemed at general peace. It was only then that he noticed that a waitress of sorts had come....er... that's what he thought they were.... Looking at the girl and then down at the menu and then up at the girl again, the dark haired man was quiet for a moment before folding his menu and looking at the girl. "I'll have one of everything," was the answer he finally stated aloud knowing that he was probably going to regret it rather sourly later when he wondered where all his money went. However, whether a glucose imbalance or something else was wrong with him that he didn't care to acknowledge in the least, Ryo was wanting something sweet and badly.
After he had actually given the order, the dark haired man actually began to notice the features of the girl. She was cute... not in the sense as romantically but more like some sort of doll that one sees in a shop. Mentally shrugging, he looked over towards those working in the cafe as well. "You might need some help from them getting it all," he suggested rather dryly.

"You got that right!" She was planning on getting Kaida to help her out. Kaida was also the strongest in the group of girls working there, as her father had trained her for it. The young girl was surprised at this man, was he seriously going to get it all?! Sure, he may like sweet things, but would that be good for him? She decided it wouldn't be, but orders were orders.
"Alright then sir! I'll go get it right away, we may have to bring things out slowly though, there is only one cook!" She said something wrong in that sentence, people weren't supposed to know that Ayame was the only one cooking at the usually busy cafe. She skipped over to Kaida and told her happily about the man who ordered everything.
"Okay Haru, I'll help you out" Kaida said to the cute little girl, who's name was Haru. It was meant as spring, not stick. Spring as in the season. Kaida walked back over to the counter, where Ayame was now standing and told her about Haru's catch. Obviously, that didn't happen often.
Soon, Ayame had cooked up a few things. These were quick things that were made, and most were sweet pastries or candies, because those were the quickest to make, most of the time. Kaida and Haru brought Ryo the things that Ayame had cooked up, the two other girls chatting away on their 'busy' day. It appeared that they were not planning on doing anything. Kaida would remind Ayame to talk to them about it, because they were getting paid to sit about.
"These are the first things you'll get, alright? Ayame will have other dishes ready soon" Kaida said to him, smiling to him before wandering to the window that was behind the counter to argue with Ayame. Kaida had a talent for cooking, and she liked to, but Ayame never let her in the kitchen with her outfit on. "It would catch" she always said, meaning it would catch on fire.
"Sorry if we're taking up your time!" Haru said and skipped away, towards the two girls who were chatting. She asked them once to help out, they said they didn't need to, and she began chatting with them. Teenaged girls seemed the chattiest of sorts, but not in Kaida's part.
Kaida soon gave up on trying to help Ayame, and walked over to her corner to wait for other things to help Haru carry over to the customer. She had her eyes closed, and her hand reached to grab her braid and put it over her shoulder, twirling her finger around the loose end of it. She would just wait until Ayame shouted, or Haru told her that there was more to be done, or the door opened and closed. This was usually how it was when there were no customers, Kaida would stay at one end of the cafe, and the other three waitresses dressed as maids would talk about their lives. Kaida was not about to changed this.

Ryo half smirked when the first answer came back to him. With that, he waited rather patiently, at least in his books, for the the things to be brought out. Upon said first items coming forwards, he simply nodded and took up some cutlery before starting to eat at them rather quickly but with an oddly fluid form that made it appear slow.
It wasn't bad... at all, really. His sweet tooth was certainly be satisfied quite nicely, yet with each bite, he craved more sweets and simply went after them. He could already guess the loss of money was going to hit him over the head later but....not...right now. With that, he simply continued eating rather happily though his face barely showed anything more than rather flat stare at best.
After a good three minutes, he'd finished what had been brought out and simply waited for the next to be brought out. In the meantime, he found himself looking slowly around the cafe without so much as a word.

Kaida looked up when she heard the man's soft noises. A few other people had come in, but the girls had decided that since Kaida had done all of the work for that day that they might as well get those. They knew she wasn't talkative towards new people.
Kaida noticed that the man had finished off his food that he had gotten. This was definitely not a very busy day for the cafe, so Kaida decided to try to get a tip out of him. Hey, can't blame her, she's just trying to make her father proud. Kaida walked over to him and sat in a chair nearby "Hi" that was strange, for a waitress to be doing that, but she wasn't really used to talking.
"Sorry for the wait" she added to him, playing with her long dark hair, twirling her finger around the loose end of her braid again. This was a habit of hers, fiddling with her hair like she was doing. She usually did it when her hair was down though, which it wasn't during work because it got in the way, even at the dojo she lived at.
Kaida lived in a large house, with a large surrounding area, and it had a dojo where her father taught her how to dance and to fight properly. She often helped her father out with the fighting part, but not very often with the dancing. The dancing class usually was happening while she was working at the cafe, so she didn't get the chance to help. Not that she would if she could. The dancing class had a lot of talking going on in there. Doesn't help that it's mostly girls in there, hm?

"Hi" Ryo's eyes raised rather surprised to see one of the waitresses addressing him. He was quiet for a moment wondering if this was simply a business transaction or just general talk. "Sorry for the wait" Ah.
"It's fine," the dark haired man answered back turning his attention fully to the girl now rather fully. "Not like I don't have time," he finished. Or an obsessive need for sugar..... came to the back of his mind, yet Ryo ignored it for now. In truth, he hypothesized that it led back to the days he was in the gang where everyone needed energy rather than sleep, and therefore, sugar was found as the best product for it.....Eh... either that or he was just sweet crazed. There was a high likelyhood of both.
"So do you like your job?" he asked turning his head to one side and wondering if the girls at the cafe actually liked said things. He was pretty sure that someone had to hate their job. That seemed to go with everything.....and in truth, through the jobs he had worked in, it was usually him hating the job. Well, that was a tad annoying realization. However, he kept it to himself and simply waited for the girl to answer the qusetion.

Kaida simply nodded in response "I wouldn't be here if I didn't" she said to him. She did like her job. She liked the results from it, her father's pride in her getting a job, having experience for another thing other than dancing and fighting... it was great. She was also hoping it would let her get to learn that it was alright to speak up sometimes.
Kaida honestly didn't need the job. Her family was wealthy, and she usually got what she wanted. Her father's guilt had made it that way. Her father is a large part in Kaida's life. Her mother was killed when she was younger, and now she only had her father to help her learn things. The only problem was, Kaida looked so much more like her mother that her father wasn't able to look at her, let alone talk to her. Kaida wished this was different, but she also knew in the back of her head that in time she would be able to talk with her father and he would reply.
"I like my other one too...." She added quietly, as if not really speaking to him "Do you have a job? Sorry if I'm asking personal questions... you don't have to answer" She knew better than to beg people for their answers. Some people would whine if another didn't answer a question they had asked, but Kaida wouldn't dare do that. She had been taught to respect other people's wishes, even if they had not respected her own. Unless, of course, something like earlier had happened. Then she was allowed to protect herself.
She wouldn't go completely in fighting mode though. She was wearing a dress, come on!

"I wouldn't be here if I didn't" was the answer that he had received, and in truth, it surprised Ryo a tad. However, after a moment, he half smirked and nodded a bit. So at least there was something to working for more than just money....eh. Probably not for him though. He'd never found anything that really made him happy anyways. The gangs were a mess and left him with scars. Regular jobs were boring beyond reason, and he found them a tad annoying too just for being boring.... well wasn't that just a contradiction for the day.
"I like my other one too...." Hm? Another job on top of this one? Ryo blinked for a moment at this but didn't say anything right off. "Do you have a job? Sorry if I'm asking personal questions... you don't have to answer" Um...... Ryo found himself simply staying quiet for a moment thinking on that. He wasn't actually employed (other than his schooling and occasional odd jobs that he did when the money was running low). The government also had a rather interesting payout that came seeing as the certain issue that was in place with the family at the moment.
After a moment, he forced a rather half laugh and shook his head a bit. "Relax," he stated first. "The question itself is fine." Jumpy people just needed to relax, m. When he went to answer, he found himself sitting back in the chair for a moment. "I'm not really employed rather than some jobs off to the side," he answered back. "Though I graduate this year, so I can start actually doing something more when classes finish...." he shrugged his shoulders as he said these things and then raised an eyebrow before lowering it again.

Kaida said. This meant that this boy was just a year older than her, but she appeared to be younger than she was. She looked more like a fifteen year old than a seventeen year old. Haru skipped over and grabbed Kaida's hand "She's done with the next bit Kaida!" She sure was a happy-go-lucky kind of person. Kaida stood up and straightened out her skirt before grabbing a few of the plates that Ayame had made for the boy, being followed by Haru towards the boy's table. "There's the rest" Kaida said as she put the things down infront of the boy on the table. Of course, being in a cafe, they would have very little things to choose from. This cafe was more for socializing and taking a look at the girls who served there. Maybe Ayame would make something special for him though, he did order everything after all. Speaking of Ayame, after Haru left, Kaida sat back down where she had been when she and Ryo had been talking, and Ayame showed up, a towel in her hands which she was wiping her hands on. "This is rather new Kaida, trying to get a tip?" Kaida looked at her feet and social-butterfly Ayame knelt a little closer to Ryo, not so close to be in his personal space, and she pointed her finger at Kaida "Watch out for this one boy, she'd be trying to steal your change" she said and laughed. She obviously didn't mean it, as she said it so Kaida could completely hear it. "Just for pops though, daddy's little kitten!" "Anyways, I just came to meet and thank the 'boy who ordered everything'" Ayame was using what Haru had called him "Thank you for your order" she added. It seemed that the girls that Ryo met were the more polite sorts. The other two... not so much. "I don't try to steal..." Kaida was playing along with Ayame's joke. [/ul][/blockquote]

“Ah,” was the only answer Ryo gave for the moment on the words from the girl. So she wasn’t that much younger, and yet she could have been a middle schooler for all Ryo knew. Eh. Seeing that the other girl had come back, the dark haired man made a mental note on the girl that he wouldn’t state outright. When the rest came out, Ryo found a rather gentle smirk coming to his face as he watched said food sit before him. After a moment, the girl had sat down again, and yet another woman had come around. Ryo blinked a moment but didn’t say anything just yet.
"This is rather new Kaida, trying to get a tip?" Ryo blinked a moment wondering if that was actually the case of the matter. It could certainly be perceived that way at least from where he was sitting on the matter. The fact that the girl looked down didn’t seem to help either, and Ryo found himself mentally sweat dropping at this. So… it was true? Eh, money was money, though Ryo knew all too well that he barely had enough with him to pay for all that he had ordered.
Saiyo’s annoying voice was already playing in the back of his mind about the money. Despite the fact that she was the youngest, she seemed to certainly wear the frugality just as Ryo and Haiiro did. Ryo found his head moving a bit away despite the fact that Ayame wasn’t too far in his bubble. It was more of a habit, really, and led back to the days when anyone getting that close meant that someone was about to either try and kill you or steal your money.
“Watch out for this one boy, she'd be trying to steal your change" the woman had stated and laughed. For a good moment, Ryo sat there wondered if the woman had simply been lucky or actually perceived his thoughts. He finally decided that it simply had to be the prior of the two and went on. "Just for pops though, daddy's little kitten!"
"Anyways, I just came to meet and thank the 'boy who ordered everything’ Thank you for your order," was the call, and Ryo found himself half laughing under his breath.
"I don't try to steal..." Ryo turned his head back to the girl and blinked a moment before looking down at the food and already starting up with a fork again. After inserting some more food into his mouth, he chewed for a moment both on the food and on his thoughts.
“Then you’re lucky,” he answered back after another moment looking towards the girl now with a half smirked on his face. “It’d be a shame for me to have to break fingers in a peaceful place like this.” He shook his head a bit and continued eating. “Mmm…..” for a moment, he was silent, yet in another moment, he had finished most of the dishes that had been brought out to him.
“The name’s Ryu-…o by the way,” he stated aloud. “Ryo,” he repeated again somewhat irritated that he had nearly said Ryuu again. Even now? Seriously? After he’d left it for this long, he still couldn’t get away from it. However, the gang name he had chosen and his real name were remotely similar if not annoyingly so, and therefore he was prone to mixing them up every once in a while. Mentally smacking himself, he looked back at the waitress. “What’s your name?” he asked before inserting a fork with something sweet on the end in his mouth.

Her last name was rather known to some people, if they walked by her house, or were into fencing, karate, or traditional dancing. Her father was a great instructor that lots of people knew, but nobody usually came to him because of the rumours that he and his daughter were more violent than anything. They all were surprised if they walked in on Kaida's private lessons to see that she was not violent, but she was good at what she did. "It's nice to meet you Ryo" It wasn't really meeting, but more like 'it's nice to call you something other than the boy who ordered everything'. Kaida wasn't sure if Ryo and her would ever see each other again too, so it would most likely stay a meeting and nothing more. Ayame called from behind the counter "Kaida, you little dragon you, a little dragon to a big dragon daddy, roar" that was silly of her to do, but Kaida couldn't keep her glare for long, and she smiled at her boss' funny side. "Oh, I see you smiling, you know you want to laugh" Kaida rarely laughed, or smiled, and she wasn't going to break her no laughing streak, so she turned to Ryo. "I hope the food was worth the wait" she said to him and stood up, moving her hand to the tail on her back "Ayame, I think the customers would much rather just see normal maid waitresses than cat maid waitresses" she said to her, wandering towards the back room to take the ears and the tail off. Haru skipped back over to Ryo to take his dirty dishes, and when Kaida came back without the ear and the tail she took the rest of them. The other two waitresses were busy with the other customers. The cafe was slowly filling up, and Ayame was stuck in the kitchen again. This was usually how it was. Kaida carried the dishes to the counter, which behind it was a ledge where the dirty ones went to be cleaned later. Usually Haru was the cleaner of the dishes if Ayame was too busy. She went to take care of some other orders to give to Ayame before sitting down across from Ryo again, sitting with her back straight and her eyes closed once again, her finger twirling around a loose strand of hair. Ayame would yell at her if she noticed the piece of hair that had slipped out of her braid, but she was too busy for that now. [/ul][/blockquote]

When given her name, Ryo mentally put it away in a folder and simply went on to eat. His sweet tooth was finally beginning to become satisfied, and he was rather pleased with it, in truth. His glucose level was probably through the roof right then and there, yet he didn't seem to worry about it in the least. Looking back as Kaida came back, he didn't say anything for a moment but mentally shrugged and figured that she either wanted a tip or to chat more. In truth, he'd take the latter over the prior given his general circumstances.
"So what's your other job then?" he asked in between bites of a rather tasty pastry... no rhyme or pun intended...Mmmmmm. Yep this was good, and he knew it. Somehow Saiyo's voice was back scolding him on behavior and money, yet this only brought a chuckle to his throat. He really did need to get an actual job sooner or later whether it was being a bartender or something of the like, he really didn't care.
However, that thought also impeded on something that Ryo found himself a tad sick on.... his freedom. Indeed, the dark haired man liked his freedom a little too much, and anything that tied him down now a days was annoying (meaning school and the like). However, he really had to play big brother least Haiiro get the idea that he was actually the older one, heh.
Somewhere in this mix of thoughts, Ryo mentally wondered if it was too much to be asking about the girl's job, but she seemed pretty open and would probably not hesitate to smack him (like he'd seen earlier) if it was too personal a question. Eh, ya win some, ya lose some.

she decided to answer all of the abve questions, as people usually got annoyed if they were not answered quickly "I teach classes of traditional dancing, fencing, and fighting with my father" she continued "In a dojo that is on our property" then she finished and continued playing with the loose strand of hair. "Kaida, put that back in your braid!" You could hear Ayame yelling from the kitchen. She had seen Kaida playing with her hair. Busted. Instead of undoing her braid and having to go through the process of redoing the whole thing. Kaida closed her eyes again "I guess you could say we do lots of classes there..." Instead of telling him the different styles of fighting, she let him just use his own imagination as to what goes on there. There were lots of different styles to choose from at her dojo, and each one her father had taught her, and the students. Of course, he talked to her then, though he tried to do so very little.
