Kaida responded, looking over to him "Can I have some cotton candy?" she had gone straight to the point, like she always did when she was greeted by the man. He smiled "Coming right up, you would like pink, I think?" Kaida was always a fan of the traditional pink cotton candy. She nodded and took her wallet out of her coat before sitting at a large window near the front in a nice dining room chair. Soon, the man brought her her cotton candy and she paid him, then started eating the large, pink cloud.[/ul][/blockquote]

Haiiro walked down the street with his hands in his pockets and his head down. He was bloody exhausted from the previous night at which he got absolutely no sleep due to the long hours of work. Not to mention the fact that he had been working long hours for the last..... five weeks if not more....By the time he had gotten home that night, it was time to go to school and Ryo and Saiyo had already been up and out the door. However, despite the fact that this mildly irritated him, he had been alright with it at the time. Now, however, he was mentally slashing at them in his thoughts.
I do all the work in the family and what do I get? He growled under his breath but kept his thoughts from reaching his lips. I get a lack of sleep and they get to go on with life as though everything is fine. Damn them. Damn it Ryo he needs to get a job.... Even Saiyo has a job, and she's what.. fifteen... damn it Ryo. Damn it Saiyo shouldn't even be working. She's too young.... Ugh.... And this cute little mental rant continued on as Haii walked down the street feeling ready to fall over rather than anything else.
As he walked, a smell hit Haiiro's nose, and he recognized it almost instantly... the smell... of candy. Mentally breathing outwards, he turned his head and stared straight at the candy store. His eyes seemed to grow and then shrink again, and his hands fumbled in his pockets as his mind debated whether or not he had enough money to get a jawbreaker or two. That would certainly help his mood if anything. The dark haired man then resolved to walk straight towards the candy store. Taking hold of the door and stepping inwards, Haiiro breathed in the smell of candy as the bell above the door rang lightly. However, as soon as he took yet another step inside, Haii found the world suddenly swirling around him. He... couldn't keep focus... and then... and then.... Suddenly everything went black. A gentle thud echoed in the store as the dark haired man hit the floor out cold.

she said quietly, noticing how his face looked slightly familiar. Ryo's name popped into her mind, but this boy seemed different than Ryo. Ryo didn't seem the type to just pass out when he entered a shop, but he did seem the type to come to a candy store. "This is silly." she said, stopping her nudging and popping another piece of cotton candy in her mouth. It was just too good! After that she nudged him some more. "I'm not sure if he's going to get up.." She said to the man behind the counter "Give him a little time, you're being impatient" that was true.[/ul][/blockquote]

Haiiro was out for a good ten minutes and seemed to have settled into a more peaceful sleep than most would have when passed out on a floor. However, this time was short, and soon enough, he started to come back to consciousness.
As he slowly came to again, Haiiro found himself laying down and staring up at the ceiling. Damn..... that had hurt. His head was throbbing, and he felt like he was hit with a bat over his head. Sitting up slowly and rubbing his forehead, the dark haired man found a girl not too far from him and stared at her rather sharply for a good few seconds. However, after a moment, his face cooled a bit and he found himself sitting forwards over his knees and not saying anything. Damn... what was.... the last thing.... the last thing he remembered was walking into the candy store and suddenly.....
After a few more seconds, he breathed outwards and allowed himself to look over at the girl and studied her rather carefully. Her visage was a tad more angular than most, yet it seemed to fit her general facial features, and indeed she looked younger than him. After a moment, his eye slid towards the cotton candy, and finally he just sighed out again.
"Damn...." he muttered under his breath and then fell into silence for a few seconds deciding what he actually wanted to sya next. "Sorry.... I kind of...." Passed out because I was too damn tired? Ya... he wasn't going to say that one out loud in this case. Instead, he simply broke off and stared at the girl before looking towards the man not far off. "Can I get some water or something?" he asked unsure if he was going to get charged for it or not. If he did, he didn't care at this point... if not, eh that would be for the better.

she said after the piece had dissolved. Kaida still sat next to him as the man came up to pass Haiiro the water "You two might want to get out of the way of the door" he said as he passed the water to Haiiro, walking away after he had done so. Kaida ate a bit more cotton candy "I'm sorry, I just haven't had candy in a while, would you like me to take you to a seat?" she asked the dark haired boy. She would remind herself to ask about the resemblance to Ryo soon, after he had a drink and felt normal again. Kaida stood up and brushed off her knees. It was a little wet and dirty where she and Haiiro were, and it made her clothes dirty too. She looked down to the boy to see if he was going to need help standing or if he was able to stand up himself. "Don't get up too fast" she said to him and picked another chunk off of her candy. Mmmm so good![/ul][/blockquote]

Haiiro slowly shoved himself up on the command of his own will. When the girl had offered to help him up, he shook his head and slowly stood up on his own. Much like Ryo, he wasn't one for people helping out.... Paranoia was a factor like no other not to mention the fact that his pride was at stake (which was possibly greater than the paranoia so....) "I've got it," he stated aloud finally reaching his feet and starting to feel the familiar blood-rush that one has when they just wake up and are getting up again.
Rolling his shoulders a moment, he found himself mentally swearing still. Bad enough to pass out.... I had to pass out in public? And only an hour or so before my job starts up again? Haiiro bit the inside of his mouth and said nothing to the girl eating cotton candy. However, it was then that he stared at her again and raised an eyebrow at her wondering why she was so calm. Most would have panicked or something of the like. That was the usual thing to do, anyways. However, hm... Well maybe she had panicked right after his crash, and he simply hadn't witnessed it. Well there we go, perfect explanation.
Resisting a sudden yawn that came to him, Haiiro blinked a moment and started to step out of the front door way and off to the side. His dark eyes scaled the walls of the candy shop for a moment before he sighed again. "Haiiro... by the way," he stated rather quietly to himself.

she said to him and waved one of her hands over to the spot she was sitting in "Sit over there, okay?" she asked for him to do that. Kaida never actually commanded somebody to do something unless they were touching her, or she was teaching a class. All other times she disliked telling people to do things. It was rude in her opinion. Kaida walked over to the two chairs near the little, round table. She took a seat at the furthest one from the door, where she had been sitting in before, and took a little bit of the slowly disappearing cloud. She looked over to Haiiro and looked out the window again. Kaida hadn't paniced when he had passed out. Sure, she was a little worried that an ambulance might have to come, but she wasn't too worried about it. Ever since her mother's death and the ambulance's sirens running outside her house she has had a little bit of a hatred for such things. They were too noisey, too bright, and the words were backwards. What was the point of backwards words?! Kaida soon finished her cotton candy stick, and got up to throw it away. Ah, that was good. So good it left her wanting more sugar. "Please go sit and I can get you what you wanted" obviously, the boy had come there for a reason. He wanted some candy, or else he would have passed out outside in the cold snow. All those people outside would have called an ambulance and caused a huge problem. It was good that he had woken up. Maybe Kaida would get a jaw breaker. [/ul][/blockquote]

Haiiro had stared when Kaida had asked him about sitting down. In truth, he was debating whether or not to leave and had been caught off guard when she had suggested whatever it was she had said.....Ya... He really hadn't been paying attention. Oh well. After a moment more, he finally sat down and simply found himself sitting rather quietly not sure of what to actually say or do as Kaida came back from throwing her cotton candy stick away.
Haii's dark eyes flashed down towards his watch for a moment all but panicking on the time. He couldn't be late for work... That'd tarnish what he had worked so hard to achieve, and he simply would not have it. Ah... less than an hour till work. Alright.... he could handle that as long as he didn't crash again....
Suddenly wondering why he had not gotten an energy drink while out, Haiiro frowned darkly for a few seconds. However, this passed after a bit, and his face became a calmer look. Finally standing up again, he walked over towards the man behind the candy counter. "I'll have four jawbreakers," he stated aloud knowing too well that he wouldn't eat them all at once.
However, it was a large supply of candy packed into it, and therefore, they were worth the general price that was asked for them. He wasn't about to have a girl pay for anything especially one he'd just met. Haii had too much pride for that and wasn't about to let it go.

So Kaida was having jawbreakers. The man came back, wrapping a large square of fudge and giving her the four jawbreakers she wanted. He soon gave her the fudge in the bag, and she passed him a good amount of money. This was expensive fudge, and a lot of it. Her father liked it the most, but she bought him it rarely, so she might as well buy him a lot, even though he wasn't much of a sweet tooth. Kaida looked up to Haiiro "Are you feeling better?" she asked him, putting the bag around her wrist and dropping three of the jawbreakers into it. She didn't have four hands, of course, so she would much rather carry the jawbreakers in a bag. Afterwards, she unwrapped the plastic from the jawbreaker that was in her hand. Kaida put the money back in her wallet and slipped that in a pocket on her jeans. She usually wore skirts with tights, in and out of school, but she decided that with this weather she would much rather wear pants and keep her legs warm. At least, warmer than having a skirt on. Haiiro took the jawbreakers and instantly inserted one into his mouth. The sugary explosion in his mouth seemed to send a smirk to the dark haired man's face, and in another moment, he handed over some money and then folding the rest away. He briefly noticed the exchange of money between Kaida and the shop keeper, and for a moment, he blinked slowly. That appeared like a lot.....
However, after a moment, his eyes averted as the thought had come to mind. No. I'm a hard working student.... Indeed, the idea of robbery, yet he refused it in all cases of the word. If it happened, he knew he'd probably get caught and then have to deal with his brother's yelling and possibly some jail time which wouldn't do any good in the end of it. Instead, he half smirked and shook his head slowly wondering what in the world had possessed him to take the thought up in the first place. That was just... silly, yes.
"Are you feeling better?" Haiiro blinked a moment realizing that he had been addressed and nodded slowly. Ya... his senses were coming back, thankfully. "Yes," he finally answered as though the voice could mean more than the simply action (however the context of actions over words was quite paradoxical in this moment).
After a moment of chewing on the jawbreaker and making no headway with it, he finally started back towards the lounge chairs again. The place was pretty calm, and therefore, he didn't mind staying there until work. Thinking about the observatory in general made Haiiro feel more at peace than he normally did. Sitting down at the chair once more, the dark haired man seemed to think for a moment and registered Kaida again. "I'm guessing you like sweets?" he asked dryly as though it were not obvious enough, heh. After a moment, he realized that he had set the water on the table and actually picked it up finishing it in one gulp.

she replied "I'm guessing you do too?" She stuck the jawbreaker in her mouth, and noticed she had coloured, melted sugar on her finger tips. The warmth of the candy shop made Kaida's skin warm, and it melted a bit of colour away from the hard candy. That's not very good, she better not touch anything until she gets it off. Kaida chewed the jawbreaker lightly to get more of the sweetness off of it, touching it with the very tip of her tongue made it a slightly stronger taste. After a few moments she tucked it in her cheek so she could talk "This may seem off topic..." she started "But are you related to a man named Ryo in any way?" well he had to be, they looked exactly the same. Kaida's memory of Ryo had become stronger from when Haiiro was passed out on the floor to at this time, when they were both sitting in chairs. Of course, Kaida couldn't resist the temptation of the jawbreaker in her cheek, so she put it back on her tongue after she had asked her question. Rolling it on her tongue to get as much of the sweetness as she could taste on her tongue, before chewing on it lightly again. Mmmm candy was so good. Maybe she would break into her father's fudge. Just to see if it was poisoned or anything. Heh. [/ul][/blockquote]

Haiiro had stopped moving the candy in his mouth the moment that Kaida had stated the name Ryo. For a long moment, he sat there unblinking with a flat but calm stare that one gives something they are taking apart. Had this girl met Ryo? Why hadn't he said anything about it? Then again, he had been short of time, and they hadn't really talked, yet still. After a moment, he let a breath out and leaned farther into the chair as though expecting it to eat him rather than him eat the jawbreaker.
He could always lie.... and simply state he had no idea. However, Haiiro was more of the brutally honest type rather than a lying type. He didn't feel lies were necessary unless someone was in deep trouble or something of the like. He remembered how much he had had to lie in order to get Ryo to come back home after.... after... Well... that was Ryo's story and not his own, so the dark haired man left it where it was in his thoughts in case there was some sort of psychic connection at hand, heh.
"I'm surprised you didn't call me Ryo," he finally stated after a few moments rather dryly as he moved the jawbreaker around in his mouth while he talked and thought at the same time. "We're siblings," he stated deciding to leave it like that and not bother to mention Saiyo in the middle of that. "Twins," he clarified as though thinking it more of a second gesture rather than anything else.

she said, simply. Her father had taught her to be sensitive to those around her, now if anybody tried sneaking up on her she would know they were there, and who it was, without looking or hearing anything. This way she knows who is a danger, or a possible danger, to her and who isn't. "I did not talk to Ryo for long" She said to Haiiro "Just talked a bit in a cafe" she didn't feel the need to add that it was the maid cafe and she was a waitress there. Some men who she told that to and she had just met would picture her in a very revealing maid outfit and that would just cause problems. Also, he never actually asked for such information. It would be fairly difficult to lie about if he was related to Ryo or not. They are twins, they look almost exactly the same. The only difference Kaida could see in their appearances were the scars. Ryo had slightly more scars than Haiiro did, and those little details were obvious to Kaida. Some people would say that she was assuming things when she noticed a very tiny detail from a good distance, but when they actually looked for it they knew she was right. [/ul][/blockquote]

"The air around you feels different then it did with Ryo" Hm? What in the world did that even mean? Haiiro wouldn't question it and simply let it be for then and there. "I did not talk to Ryo for long. Just talked a bit in a cafe" A cafe? That was... oh, so that was why Saiyo was mad.... Haiiro smirked realizing what had happened (or rather assuming but having probability to back him up).
So either he was dating or looking for girls (both of which were out the window considering Ryo's general personality), all that left was that his sweet tooth had taken over....heh. He probably spent too much money and just... ya...heh.
"Ah," was the answer that came from Haiiro. Not descriptive in the least in terms of an actual answer, but eh, it made for something of an answer, in truth. Thinking of something more to say, he finally rested his arm on the chair and then allowed his dark eyes to look up towards the ceiling rather than at Kaida. "Heh...." Haii forced the laugh that came from his throat and slowly looked down at Kaida again.
"I doubt he told you about me then," "Dwas the answer that finally came from Haiiro. Indeed, he doubted that anyone would be so stupid as to talk about their family to someone they had probably met for a few seconds and just chatted before separating again. "Do you live around here or something?" he finally asked changing subjects just a bit.

Kaida said and slightly smiled to him. She had noticed a trend in Haiiro's family already. They liked their sweets. It was obvious since Ryo had ordered everything at the menu at the cafe, which mostly had sweet things on it, and now Haiiro marched right into a candy store... or fell in... or passed out in... which was it? Kaida's place was much too big for her and her father, but they still stayed there. It had many empty rooms, and two that Kaida would never step into. Her old room, where her mother had died, and her parents old room, where the large bed for couples still stood, collecting dust. Her father had also decided against going in there. He had gone in there to gather up his things and the pictures, but other than that he had told himself he would never go back in that room again. [/ul][/blockquote]
